Needless to say, good ole vader took a crap on me this morning. Acting like she's not getting fire. I didn't have time to run through the No Start Checklist. Starting to seriously consider getting rid of her. Too much money for too little results.....I was gonna start pulling the top end off this weekend to get to the head gaskets.....thoughts or opinions? Give up and cut my losses or take a deep breathe and give her hell another day?....or dare i say it, go intercooled......

I agree with Mark. Take a long weekend and have some fun. It may take you a little while but a break is exactly what you need at this point.:) Also remember that a running car will bring more than one that needs repair.

lol! im leaning real heavy on trading her in for a motorcycle! lol! i'm sure thats another world of headaches too!;)

I have been at the same point as you several times. I stuck it out and solved all the gremlins. The end result is a perfectly running hot air which does twelves at the track. It is quicker on the street since the runs are shorter. My personal opinion is that you will need a wideband o2 sensor and a powerlooger in order to get where I am. The scanmaster reduces tuning from a wild ass guess to an educated guess. Powerlogger and wideband o2 sensor gets you focused. Step back and think about it and what you really want out of your car. In my case twelves are just fine. We can help you get what you have running as is. Where are you located? Brad

I know you can’t possibly think that adding the IC intake/turbo, etc. “stuff” to convert will solve the issue . . . right?
Converting to IC’d will not solve your current problems, period.
Best way to go IC’d is to "sell and buy . . . . "

I am going to say it again . . . The hardest part about building a fast HA is “to believe”.

Oh . . . I have a MC I will trade. ;)

i have been out to Richard's before. I don't like just showing up on Sat mornings (uninvited) and saying "help". Richard, Eric, and Pat have helped me out tremendously in the past. I have sent Richard a couple of emails on here asking if I can come back out there. I know he's extremely busy but I have not gotten a response. The intercooled thing is just something i hear alot from other folks. lol. I have no desire to make my ha the fastest on the road. I just want to make it driveable and actually enjoy taking it places or around town. I will take a step back, breath, troubleshoot, and attack it again.

Which vendors carry the wideband O2 sensor? Is it the same as the heated O2?
Fullthrottle will have them. It is not a heated o2 sensor. It ia an additional o2 sensor that in my case was put on the test pipe. I then hooked it up to the power logger which enables you to see the air/fuel ratio while testing. This allows you the ability to adjust the fuel setting on the TT chip intelligently. Brad

Ill most definately be calling you when my car is put back together and im ready to tune. I still have your number Brad.

well, its been a couple of weeks but the culprit has been figured out! relay blew on the ignition hotwire kit. go figure. its temp fixed with a jump wire for the time being. a more permanent solution will come next weekend.....i wonder whats gonna break next? lol!
