These have to be the WORST bumper fillers on the market!!! Not naming the vendor yet cause I haven't notified them, but the ones I got were drop shipped from a place in Fl. I paid $325 for these pieces of $hit. I installed the back so far, I hope the front ones fit better. Damn I'm pissed.

I can't remember the name of the place in FL we got a set from a few months back, back I believe they were out of Valrico, FL. They were the worst looking POS I have ever seen. We sent them back immediately and it still took them 3+ weeks to credit us.

PS- They were only $210.00 direct through them...

Next time we're going to get the G-body parts item. I've heard they fit nicer than any.

K.

I have been through both abs and fiberglass, and IMHO it just isnt worth the hassle. Id rather find a set of new fronts and used rears. I sent my abs' right when I got them. I ended up finding a good set of used rears and had them painted. They fit better!

These are from GBody parts. I'm fed up with them. Gonna keep my eye out for some nice stock rear ones and buy new fronts from gm. These will make do for now, or until I get sick of looking at them.

Let us know how this works out.

I'll tell you how it worked out. I put them on and not happy at all. Not even contacting gbody parts. They're painted already. Its too late for them to do anything.

abs plastic

i bought some from Fla. a while back..i think it was a group purchase on the board here for my 87GN. All the bumper fillers i have used with the exception of GM bumper fillers i had to get a die grinder out and make them fit. mine came out pretty good after a couple of hours of fitting them. i just done a 74 caddy and it took me a while to get them to fit but they came out good. hope this helps..........Bob

This explains why i am going to have no problem paying $700+ f or a new set of rears from GM. The hell with putting on a 20 year old set to have them fail in a year and waste more of my time. My time is worth a lot more than the cost of the really cheap ones and the time it would take to get a good fit. Ive made the fiberglass ones fit perfectly in the past with a small grinder by elongating the holes a little. A couple hrs but fit was perfect and then got them painted. I wouldnt do it again myself. But its worth it if you have the time. Always fit before painting.

Ok. My suggestion is to keep your mouth closed in regards to bashing board vendors when you have not even contacted them about it.

I have a right to say what I want. I feel there is no way they can do anything about it, so why contact them? I'm not bashing anyone here, just stating the facts. Could have been a bad batch of fillers, they may have changed vendors, or who knows? The point is I'm not satisfied with the quality of the fillers at all. The only thing they can do to satisfy me is to send me another rear set already painted and ready to put on. That's not gonna happen.

On a good note, the front fillers fit fine. I'm happy with the way they turned out.

I see him giving feedback on a product, but where did he bash Gbodyparts?

I think you are simply stating the facts that you were not happy with them, that is fine. It doesn't mean your an expert on Body fillers & it should be considered an opinion. Most reading that will understand that it is your Opinion.
If you did paint them & didn't try to fit them first it doesn't mean your screwed. If you would e-mail me & discuss what the problems are I will forward it to my supplier. I doubt that they would do nothing. We spend between $3-5K a month with them. They offer us the ability to give a life time warranty.
The part I do not appreciate is stating they are junk or how ever you want to sum it up. We sell alot of these a week. I would estimate 10-12 sets a fillers a week & at least 5 sets are ABS. I understand you are expressing your opinion & that is fine. We haven't sold that amount & do that volume because they are junk.

I know I have posted this at least 3 times this year but will do it again:

My opinion on Rear Fillers:

Mint low mileage cars That are hi value or show cars & want to maintain the value,Go New GM. Yes we carry these.
Very nice car but will see some drive time to an extremely nice daily go with ABS,Life time warranty.
Race car or Daily driver Go with Fiberglass. Your not trying to win a show with these but want to look nice for a reasonable price.

Front fillers:
Fiberglass is my first choice. Sorry it is.
Abs is a close second
Factory units? How many people here have cracked passenger sides but the driver is fine?
If you have a low mileage car yeah get the factory fronts. You plan on keeping your car for a long time. Get the Fiberglass or ABS.
I have over 45 driver side front fillers here that are left over from seperating fillers which I do not think any other company does.
Not worried because sooner or later the driver sides will go bad.

This also does not make me an expert on fillers but I do use what I sell. I also hear feed back good & bad on all fillers.
Ask Cal Hartline what he thought of our ABS fillers over the units he tried. I think you would be suprised.

Why did you paint them if they fit that bad ! Why didn't you holler at Brian and let him know about them then? Would have been a lot easier to fix and less headache for you. Your fussing about a bad part and didn't even give them a chance to make it right for you. Sheeeesh.

I'm sorry that you are not happy with the fillers, TURBO 6, but it seems to me that the fillers should have never got from a to z without inspection. Also sounds like there was neither proper prep work nor inspection done prior to paint. Should be putting your foot inside whoever did the prep work & paint. Your unhappiness with the quality of the fillers would be valid if you had contacted the supplier prior to any work done on them, but the time, money, & frustration spent on paint is solely yours, or for poor selection of painter. Just my opinion, TURBO 6 and I hope that everything works out for you in the long run.

I got a set from Brian and had to grind out the mounts holes a little and the fit pretty good.

On a side note, there is no way im pulling the bumpers off the car and fitting them then putting the car back together and then taking the car back apart after they are ready and painted.

I second that comment

This is the response I received early this morning guys. I'll aslo be adding this to all of our fillers as a disclaimer. It doesn't happen very often where a customer isn't happy but I'm doing this just for future knowledge.

Our supplier has no problem taking back a part & checking to see if there are any fitment problems by checking it against the mold. If no problems are found they will let us know. If there is a manufacturer's defect they have no problem making it right & replacing the part.

They will not replace any painting or shipping costs. The parts should always be mounted & test fitted before installation. You never want to paint an item until it is properly fitted. When ever you have an item that is aftermarket there "can" be some slight modifications to make it 100% correct to your liking. Please Keep in mind the vehicles are 20+ years old now & could have been wrecked or raced where the body is not aligned 100% like it was the day it was built.

As Far as fitting them before Painting I would think that a body shop would not have your fillers very long to get painted. How long does it take to scuff & shoot a set of fillers?

I'm cool with that. I'm partly to blame for taking them out of the box and giving them to my paint guy. Either way, if I would have test fit the ones I got there's no way I could have made them fit like they should. I'll keep them on the car for now, but ultimately they'll be replaced in the future with GM parts. Thanks for checking into it, Brian.
