I just wanted to congratulate my friend Louie Lopez on his first 9 second pass. I am sure there will be many more to come. Louie went a 9.98 at our local track. This was quite an accomplishment when you consider how poorly it was prepped. With a good 60' and a little more boost, I'm betting on some 9.7's provided the stock crank stays in place :) Once again, Great Job!!

Congrats, Louie! You've had it coming a long time. :) You guys are making me think hard about a TSM car...but I'd better finish the one I'm on first!

Cal,
Like i said on the other board, coulnt have done with out your help. Thanks for everything.;)

Kendall,
It wouldnt take much to change that Rosewood to meet TSM rules. We could use your fancy fabbing skills over in our class  Damn i wish you lived closer....:)

Congrats Louie, it's great to see another TSM car in the 9's. Did you switch back to the old converter? It's looking like the TSM class will have more 9 sec. cars than TSE.

Very nice Louie. Glad to hear you've broken another milestone!

Whats yer next goal? Disney? hahahah

Sorry to bud in ,,Kendal, you do AWESOME work..

My ? is ,seems you made 2 welds on the trans pan, would this have worked, cutting the bottom off of one pan and then cutting another pan ,but an inch higher and welding that to the other pan..
or were you just trying not to waste a pan ..
thanks for any input.
:) now I can go back to bed ,,just finished ALL your pics:D

Dave,
Yes i swapped my old verter back in and picked back up. But the new one is being taken care of:D

Keith ,
Thats right 24 psi on the nose ,no more, no less. Thats the official TSM answer.Im not going to be the 1st to break that rule LOL ;)

congrats Louie, damn good job. thanks for your help with my setup. Cant wait to have my project done so i can be your shadow. Thanks agian buddy im putting the block on hold till that new crank comes out

Congrats, Lou...

it was only a matter of time. Welcome to the 9 sec. club. We knew that it was only a matter of taming that "bronco" of yours out of the gate.;)

Awwright Officer Louie! You had the car that I knew would be in the 9's this year. Keith has already posted most of the SA comments that I could think of...wait...Was that pass with or without the "granular ballast" in the trunk? ;)

So, for 9-second cars next year in TSM we have:
  1. Jason Cramer
  2. Roy Garcia
  3. Dave Bamford
  4. Guy Roberson, and
  5. Louie Lopez
[/list=1] And it is my understanding that there are at least 3 other people who have eclipsed 130MPH with low, low 10s. I wonder how long it'll be until they 'dip' into the nines. At this

Congrats

Good job Louie! Wait until they see this class at Bowling Green next year.

Scott,
Full TSM weight .I knew you would ask. Yes it was. I can not take it out as the car wont hook.

So there you have folks, the secret to 9-second passes...granular ballast in the trunk. :D Louie will soon be thanking his sponsor - Home Depot. ;) :D

Question???

Have any of you TSM guys ever turned the boost down to see what your car would run? Say 18psi??

I'm sort of wondering a guesstimate for my car.

11.03 @118 with about 14-16 psi and a mid-low 1.5 60ft
11.60 @114 with about 11-13 psi mid 1.6 60ft

I had posted this in the past. The numbers maybe a bit different. I finally had time to look at the logs.
