Any opinions or feedback would be appreciated. I am in the market for a converter and have basically made my vendor choice, but somebody on the board mentioned them and I am curious about their history and their product (mainly because their prices are well below the average).

Experience has taught me that you get what you pay for, but I am looking for outside opinions on them.

Thanks

Regards,
Rich:D

Well, I've already heard from Jesse on Pat's stuf, but I'd like a few more opinions :D

Anybody?

I wonder how they compare in terms of torque multiplication to others on the market.....

Steve said you called today. Rick will be at Cecil tomorrow if all goes well. Are you coming down?

nah, heading out tonight with the wife to Cleveland to see the inlaws :(

I just love those 8 hour drives to see my mother-in-law :(

Yeah, Steve left me a message but I didn't have a chance to get back to him yet.....

hi,
i have a pat's 10" lockup and it works excellent .the torque multiplication is tremendous.it is also very driveable till the boost comes in.i have at least a few dozen hard passes on it.not to mention tuning passes and she is holding up excellent.so far so good.

p.s
bye the way.i am putting about 600 horsepower through it.

nick,

Quick, only two things I will say. 1: People building quality units do not have a tremendous mark up on their converters, so in most cases, price is an indicator of what type of quality components and workmanship. 2: Anyone can claim anything as far as torque multiplication ratios. The truth is how your car reacts to the particular converter and how long it handles your power.
I would have to wonder how someone can build a unit of any quality and perfomance at half the price of other top quality units and give good customer service and dependability. Just my thought and experience of over 35 years of retail automotive.

We will keep everyone posted when we finally break one. Several people including some Canucks are trying real hard but haven't been able too!;)
