Anyone heard of these TH 400 mods?

I met a guy last week that builds transmissions and he long a long list of things he did to his own TH 400. A couple of the mods stood out to me. One was that he had installed Jaguar clutch drums (he said they held more clutches) and the other was that he had install a 4l80 planetary (stronger and lower gear set). This is just a couple of the things that he had told me about. Has anyone done this or heard of doing it?

The Jag may have the deeper Drum & matching Pistons for more Frictions, HD Truck & Hi Performance vehicles also had them.
Many new/improved 4L80E parts fit the TH400. The gear ratios are the same tho'.

Good links/threads. I see a lot of 4l80 parts will interchange but still have not found if the Jaguar clutch drum is anything special.

Nope, just the line pressure mod and the 34 element sprag.

The 400 came behind, 4.2L Inline 6cyl. Limos and 5.3L V12 engines.
I don't know what would be special about the Drums other than more Clutch capacity.
