Hello, I rescently purchased an ATR 7th injector setup. My question is on the controller box there are two wires that come out the bottom. One wire looks to be for a ground and the other has a O2 connector. I think its supposed to go to a power supply. My understanding its used for 3rd or 4th gear fueling. Does anyone know or have instructions?
Thanks

Cant help with that, but I didnt know anyone still used 7th injector setups. Why not alky? Great substitute for race gas and its only there when you need it, cools the intake charge tremendously, provides extra fuel if you need it....

Yeah i knew i would catch heat for the 7th inj. I have always wanted one. I want this 7th to hit in 3rd gear between 4400 to 4800 rpm. I just want to play around with the fuel curve.

So does anyone have instructions??? :)

inj

o2 connector?

I had one years ago, actually still have it on the shelf. If I remember right you have a power wire and a wire that goes down to your tranny electrical plug, this connects to one of the wires to prevent the 7th injector to come on in 3rd or 4th. Been a long time cant remember wich.. But that is what that one wire with the long lead should be for.

Be sure to mount the little light that shows it coming on, that is a big help for tunning. Heck I may use mine again some day if I need a little more fuel, I too always thought they were a cool idea.

Hey let me go dig thu my stuff, a slight chance I may have the old instructions.

got it

Holy Document collector Bat Man! I did have it still

Black #16 15" wire to ground
The two long Black/Red #16 wires to led light

Black #20 long wire with 02 looking coupling to tranny Pin, this they describe as the high gear delay 4th gear B wire color Bluen or 3rd gear pin C color Green/white. Doing this will inhibit the injector coming on until it hits these gears.

The other connector will hook in line to your injector harness under the coil pack, this supplies the power to the 7th injector.

I can scan the instructions and send them to you next week if you like. But this should cover it.

Good luck,

Dennis

Thank you very much for answering this post. Did your kit supply a plug n play connector for the tranny? If so i could get Caspers to build me a break out harness for the tranny hook up. I want to step back to 36ers from 50s and use the 7th for 3rd and 4th were i need it. I still see people going fast with this old technology.
Thanks :)

Cut up a old 02 sensor to plug into that genuine ATR setup, and T into the 4 wire pin connector at the trans....

Why didnt i think of that

Here' my 7th AND 8th injector set-up. I ran this many years ago and it worked GREAT!!! I would turn the 7th on at 17psi boost and the 8th at 17psi boost and 3rd and 4th gear only. I could change injector sizes in a few minutes to alter fuel curve. Now I do it electronically, but it did work good and looked kinda scary, too.
I always wanted to blow a leaf blower through it and hook-up some fuel to it and turn them on and use a BBQ ignitor.....  Sounded fun anyway........but my inner child (that has MANY burns already) said NO!!!!

It's for sale if anybody wants it. I too feel that ALKY is the better way to go, though.

I wish I had pics of my old alky system I built about 18 years ago. I removed the intercooler and ran a race chip on pump gas. No detonation. I never ran it at the track to see the gains, but with a stock turbo and injectors, it really liked the methanol and 22 psi boost. :)
