so i was looking at the new list of the billet turbos and it shows that the 6765 dbb billet requires 3300 stall.. do you think you can get away with a 2800 ptc 9.5 in converter?

the 6265 is a wicked turbo. its all u will need. 2800 should be fine. its good for 10's I am told.

my 6768 billet bb turbo should be on next week i will tell u how a 3300 spools it

What would be an equivalent precision turbo to the TE45A?

the 6365? I have a 3200 Non LU and 50lbers with alky.

Just curious. thanks.

Power wise, the 6265 is close to the older TE45A turbo but not a perfect match. Going from memory, the TE45A used the 66mm compressor wheel and P-trim turbine wheel. It was rated to to support 700hp. Our version of it was the T64E.

Based on those numbers, the 6365 would be a closer match to the TE45A, than the 6265.

6365 = 695 hp
6265 = 680 hp

I believe the TE45 had the 63mm compressor wheel and P-trim turbine.

I believe it was a 63mm wheel as well. It spooled well with my 9x11 3200.

Would the 6365 be too much for a 3-3200 stall? Would the 6265 be better suited?

Thanks.

what you your HONEST performace goals? Then we can tell you what you need and you won't be disappointed and have to buy again.

i honestly want a mid to low 10 second street car. i wanted to 6765 billet dbb but i think the 6265 billet dbb will be a better choice for me from what everyone is saying?

Either will get it done and require the same stall. If your engine is capable of revving past 5600 and making power beyond there id get the 67 if not then the 62 is plenty. Id bet the 62 will make more power at lower shaft speeds at lower rpm than the 67 too. I cant confirm this since Precision doesnt publish any compressor maps. Maybe Patrick knows.

Patrick you are correct a TE45A does use a 66mm wheels but can be had as a P trim or GTQ trim.

Take care, Kip
