In the process of acquiring parts for my bolt-on build. I've got a stainless fuel sending unit with Walbro 255 pump from Racetronix, 60lb injectors, Turbo Tweak chip, Alky Control single injector kit, double roller timing chain, 160deg. thermostat, and breather by-pass.

I also want to add an egr delete, 3" dp, & 3" cross flow single muffler exhaust from RJC.

Are a Precision stock location intercooler w/ 3" up pipe, 65mm throttle body, and power plate good additions to this combo?

Will a stock turbo keep up running 20-25lbs of boost?

I would delete the intercooler until later down the road IMO. The alky should make for more efficient charge. A DBB 6262 turbo would be in my list before the intercooler. I also would delete the power plate too, the really fast guys aren't using them any more. I'm going to take mine off when I get around to it. Everything else looks like good stuff. Good luck.

A stock turbo on a stock longblock will be max out at 23psi with a free flowing exhaust even with the wastegate blocked off.
IMO, the 3" up-pipe is a waste of $$ with your existing combo and I would also wait on the 65mm TB for now. I don't know what the advantage is for deleting the EGR.

You are in need of some serious counseling?

You are on a trip but do not really know where you are going, and do not have a road map?

Without performance goals, and how the car is going to be used, how do you expect anyone to give you knowledgable advise on how to get there?

Figure out where you want to go, then consult with people that have been there SUCCESSFULLY! :)

Turbo Tweak chips don't use the EGR anyway so it is just along for the ride...

If I had to build my car over again, I'd go the TSA class route and make it look 100% original.

Don't do the throttle body, for a near stock car, the power plate helps, I liked mine. I don't run one now. Stock IC with Alky is fine with the stock turbo. I'd say get some 17 or 18 inch wheels on the car to make it much more modern and fun to drive without requiring a turbo whine all the time. Leave the EGR alone. I'd say set a goal of 12.5 and try to get there on alky and slicks/DR's

I'd suggest a hot wire kit for your fuel pump. You wanna be sure you're getting full voltage to the fuel pump ensuring optimimum operation.
May be a good time to replace your valve springs with some new ones. If you're staying with your stock flat tappet cam....better be sure you keep the spring pressures close to stock. Don't go with the 100# springs or there's a good chance you will be replacing your cam due to worn cam lobes sooner than you'd expect.

Scan tool first. Either a scanmaster or power logger. Find out how well your car is actually running. Then put one mod on at a time and confirm that it still runs good after each mod. Hot wired-upgraded fuel pump, TT alky chip and 60lb injectors and drag radials should keep you busy for awhile trying to maximize your cars potential with these upgrades. Hope this helps. Wish someone would have given me this advise before I toasted a crank.

Spring cleaning, steering and suspension front and rear, brakes, get a good "base",then do one thing at a time. At least comb over the steering and suspension, its not fun or cool but is often overlooked. Anymore a powerlogger and a wideband is a nice combo to have to protect your motor and learn your car..02 cents

Got the basics covered thanks to some good advise from the members here (steering, suspension, brakes, spring clean, new tires, rubber body mounts, etc.). I do have the fuel pump hot-wire kit, I just forgot to mention it in my original post.

I also understand the importance of a Scanmaster, but I don't want to clutter up the interior with gadgets & guages, so I will tune the car with a good margin of safety and then have a GNX style dash cluster to handle the vitals from there on.

I've restored & built a few cars before, and this one's going to be bad-ass! I'll eventually upgrade everything, but right now I'm going to limit it to bolt-on's, a timing set, and possibly valvle springs & roller rockers.

As far as goals, I would like to build a reliable, mostly original looking, street car capable of running into the 10's on drag radials:eek: . Initially, I am shooting for low 12's, though:p.

It sounds like intake & intercooler upgrades aren't needed until exceeding the limits of the stock turbo with Alky, but I still want to eek out as much as possible before pulling the heads, and so on.

Anything else I can to do to get me there?

NO.......YOU NEED A SCANTOOL GNX STYLE DASH ISNT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!

NO.......YOU NEED A SCANTOOL AND OR LOGGER...because reliability isnt going to cut it if you dont know whats up.

Anything else I can to do to get me there? YOU DONT HAVE THE BASICS BECAUSE YOU DONT HAVE A SCANTOOL OR LOGGER

DID I MENTION SCANTOOL OR LOGGER?

If he doesn't start with scan tools scan master and power logger and wide band give it up cause it will be parked soon with a blown head gasket unless its kept at stock boost levels just sayin

If your going to run WOT without any scan tools, then I would suggest always keeping 100+ ocatane fuel in the tank.
Back in the early 90's I would run 21psi with no scan tools, but tried to run at least some kinda octane additive if not race gas.
I never blew a gasket, so I guess you can roll the dice and hope for the best.

Wow, clinical advise AND psychic readings provided free of charge! I also heard those LOGGERS drink alot of Goat Jizz o_O!

Anyway, I have all the proper tools & equipment to tune the car with regard to knock, AF ratio, and EGT. I just wanted to know if the bolt-on intake parts mentioned above were improvements to volumetric efficiency or not while still using a stock turbo.

For street use, I don't plan to run it on the jagged edge, because I already know that most engines run best... right before they blow up .

In the meantime, I think I'll concentrate my efforts toward suspension, tires, and weight savings until I am ready to go with a $tage 2 build.
