boost wont stay down

well after and 1 poorly built trans failure after another,to a imput shaft breaking,and few leaks. Finally after all this able to do some tuning.Now problem is boost wont come down boost contoller is turned to closed and boost is going 28 to 30 even if run line direct still goes 28 to 30. S0 i am thinking vaccum diagram is got a hole in.So is there a easy way to check this simply on car.Other wise car is great combo is below.

yeah, give us the wastegate details.

Some external gates can "rust up" and not open.

You can use a source of compressed air to try to open it, I use a MityVac hand pump. (a very handy tool)

no waste gate solnoid not external gate,using the solnoid that came with the 6765 got from precion,was suppose to be low boost solinoid,but am wonder if its not. i have a turbosmart billet manual wheel deal inline and it is closed to - boost side.. tried opening 3-5 clicks still just goes crazy.waste gate hole is ported to just smaller then rjc puck. i got the rod so i just tug it a lil to slip on to stud,flap is tight on housing.

If the billet controller is closed to boost side it can not activate the diaphragm. Try opening it fully and try again.

or remove it entirely before you break something.

add air thru controller and it dont move so loosed the knob 6 clicks and rod moved with minor ai pressure...a big da on my part. Took for a ride all is good set it to a nice 20 psi.
