I've been watching this thread since it first started and admiring the nice work on the repairs! I'm thinking the Iowa contingent should get together sometime!

You are welcome to join the Turbo Farm crue anytime! All it takes is to be whole hearted, honest, and fare to the rest of us. Oh yeah, also a major requirement to love these cars!!!!!!:D

More pics to come tomorrow. It's late now and I've worked on the car all day. Too tired to take pics.

HAHA!!! And you'd have some very......let's say "Interesting" posts about our fun I'm sure!

Man, you shouldve called. I've been off work all year and it gets pretty boring just being here by myself all the time. Well I have Ashley and Noah but during the day, their at work and the sitters. Next time, give me a buzz dude!

DOIN WORK!!!

Here are a few more pictures of the updats so far. Doesnt look like much but there's a whole lot of work that has been done since I last posted pics. I completely re-wired the dash becuase everything was smoked, fixed the shifter linkage with new bushings, serviced the tranny, got the intake assembled, installed the engine harness, vacuum lines, brakes, re-installed the dash, wired in the CD player, installed all of the AC vacuum lines, primed the oil pump, ECM, etc.

As of now, I'm waiting to get a brake line and the two core support bushings in the mail, then I'll be able to install the core support, radiator, cooler lines, etc. Then, put the battery in and fire this beast up!

Will do, it will only be a couple weeks and I have to go back up to Mason City. I will swing by probably on my way home that way I have time to heal up lol

I forgot to interject my spelling Nazi style...

It's "resurrection" ;)

Nice project, glad somebody saved it instead of sending it to the crusher.

SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!!

Jose (RapidoV6) and his son Louis stopped by tonight to check out the car. I figured I'd show it off by having them there for the first fire up.

Started by cranking it without the ECM plugged in to make sure oil get through the motor.

First time I turned the key with the ECM plugged in, the fuel pump didnt prime. Dawned on me this car had a hotwire kit on it when it went up in flames so I bypass the Hotwire relay and the pump primed but no fuel at the rail. NO GAS, which is a good thing for as long as this car has sat. Put a gallon in it turned the key and VROOOOMMMMM!!!!! Fired right up. Set the TPS and idled like dream!

Success!

Very nice brother, If you ever work on my car, I know you are one of the few people that I don't have to go back double check the work. It will be done only one way, the RIGHT way. I wish I can say that for all the other members of Turbo Farm. Tyson is in good hands!!!

Thanks brotha! It's definately nice to see it fire up and run so smooth after being in the condition it was in.

I still have to get the brakes done, one the the curly lines had a boogered up fitting on it. Also need to get the fan, front core support bushings, and a different starter put on. The starter thats in it was slipping some last night.

Then, it's off to Tyson so he can do the paint and body work and she'll be back on the road with flying colors!!!!!
