Can you put an electric fan on a stock location intercooler?

It's a stock location intercooler but way bigger. Not sure how to do the upper portion. I get the trash can idea.

Get another trash can and use it to cover the front.

Start with thin non-corrugated cardboard and make a shroud, noting where cuts were made and how it can wrap around to screw into the intercooler flange holes.

Then use some thin aluminum and duplicate it.

It may not be perfect but will work a lot better than that cheesy plastic stock fan.

Make the bottom part of the shroud completely separate and bolt on to the top part and able to receive the aforementioned rubberized plastic trash can scoop.

Just my .02.

Took the stock fan off because if you ever bump a curb and the intercooler comes in contact with the fan you have a mess Some old guy on here told me about this and I can't argue with the old fart

I made a scoop for my stock IC. It was cheap and more sturdy than the factory rubber piece.

Looks good for a stock intercooler but I got the mease IC.

I think mine is an old BGC unit and I used the stock top half and made the lower as one of the previous posts had done. It depends on how wide your unit is. My unit is still stock width , stretched lenght so the Kirban unit would work for me.
