Hey guys, I am debating on whether it is worth the money to install a 4th gear clutch kit (3 clutches instead of 2) alto red frictions in a slightly modified GN?? It is mainly driven on the street but sometimes raced. Is it overkill for the money?

Well at my power level i killed my 2 alto setup pretty quick, it was still ok at part throttle but WOT is pretty harsh on them. My OD shift is very firm and holds up well to highway runs in my GN with the 3 clutches. Sorry I don't know if its worthwhile for a mild setup, but it definatly won't hurt anything IMO

none!!!!!

It doesn't really cost that much does it, 1 more friction & 1 more steel. You just have to have someone machine .070 off your 4th clutch piston.

Its 99.00 for the complete kit, clutch piston, pressure platel frictions and steels set to the correct dim.

Where is that from? The only real cost would be machining the piston, but the can get put in a lathe & done in 15 min.

Actually it's just 1 more friction:eek:

Its from PTS. It is the kit with the machined pidton as part of the package. That is why I asked the ?

Thanks
