where I can find a free download of a current Indeo codec for Windows XP?

I'm trying to play some videos (they are AVI format) and the damn thing won't let me view them because I don't have this codec....... If somebody knows where I can download it I'd really appreciate you letting me know!

Intel sold it to Ligos. To get the latest version I think you have to pay for it here.

Yeah I saw it on ligos, but didn't feel like paying $15 to watch a few vids...... Oh well guess if I want to watch them I'll have to pay the bastards! Damn codecs

Did you try the older version? Since no one really uses it anymore they may work.

I just downloaded the older version so we'll see if it works....

I'm a big computer video person myself, so the latest/greatest, but cheapest versions of Codec and DivX are quite important to me and when it's time to upgrade, download.com is great for this stuff. There's no charge and everything is right there. When you download DivX, it comes with the necessary codec for .AVI and such files.
