Driveshaft Damage

How difficult is it to repair a damaged ear on a drive shaft?

I think I botched it getting the old u joints out and slightly bent an ear in so the snap ring won't fit on the driveshaft side of the front joint.

And the diff end and slip yoke side are snug and don't flop freely.

Is it toast?

It needs to go to the "driveshaft doctor" to nurse it back to health!

Having experienced a few driveshaft fatalities in the early years, do not take any chance with it at this point.

Fatalities as in dead shafts, crashed cars or people? I searched for driveshaft doctors, are you taking the guys in Denver?

I've bent ears before. We've got a local guy, "jon's shafts and stuff". The experts make it look easy. I'm sure your guys will balkance as part of their service. Money well spent!!
