edlebrock carb help

[SIXBANGR]

I have a 1460 that wont hold gas. It all is gone after sitting for a day or so. Any ideas what is wrong? thanks

If it was accelerator pump, you'd get stumbling/backfiring when giving it more gas.

with draining its either through the galley plugs on the bottom of the fuel bowl or syphoning back out. try using a fuel filter with a check valve?

poor choke operation. Weak fuel pump could be a contributor...just a few idears

Edelbrock carbs blow but i see em on alot of cars, but ive never had any luck with em

The Edelbrocks tend to percolate the fuel out of the float bowl, from heat. It just vaporizes the fuel out the float vent. The tree huggers would HATE that carb. (So do I, for that matter) If you install a phenolic 1" spacer, it should help the condition, and it might even make it run better, too. The phenolic spacer insulates the engine heat away from the fuel in the float bowl. Edelbrock Carburetor Spacer - Insulating Phenolic - JEGS

thanks guys. I already did an anti syphon valve so it may be the galley plugs. I can epoxy them, and i have an aluminum spacer some where.I am bidding on the correct carb for it on ebay.
