The buyer should not have even had to inspect the vehicle during pick-up. The seller's description is what counts. The transaction took place on eBay, not in the garage. The arguement that he "shook hands and drove away" does nothing to explain why a clearly rusted vehicle was listed as "rust free".
Also, retaliatory feedback is not allowed on eBay. You cannot leave negative feedback as "revenge" for someone leaving it for you. Feedback is based on transaction only. Leaving a negative about the quality of an item: valid. Leaving negative in regards to the tow/impound situation: invalid. If he paid for the item in a timely fashion and came to pick it up, there's no reason for a negative.
