Actually, I AM English and I thought it was quite quaint when i saw such use of language 'needs rebuilt', over here we'd say 'needs a rebuild'. Quickly followed by 'Damn, need to wait for the post from the states, rebuild on hold!'

I totally agree with you.:wink: Here in Quebec, we have a similar problem: There are some people (the separatists") who want to pull Quebec out of the Canadian confederation for several reasons, one of them being to "preserve the french language and culture" from being engulfed by the bad "anglophones"...Well having lived here all my life, I can tell you that this is all bulls**t!...These guys are so narrow-minded that they want everything here to be done strictly in french, including the business language, NOT having some bilingual clecks in stores, french-only signs, etc... These are the same stupid people who simply CANNOT WRITE A SINGLE PHRASE PROPERLY, WITHOUT MAKING ONE, OR SEVERAL MISTAKES!...
I think that if they really want to preserve the french language, they should at least begin by making an effort to write it CORRECTLY! #@%*∞€ƒ¶€¥˙ƒ*¡¡¡!!!

It could be worse. They could just start putting everything in Spanish so there will be no more improper English.

A few that I have met say things like "I'm fixin to..." or "I ain't got no..." or "Them there/that ther" or "I'm gonna learn y'all something..." All of those are examples of improper use of English.

This is coming. We have no national language. Im in SoCal right now and i was at a doctors office with my friends son the other day and everything on the walls was in Spanish. A few things were translated to English. Most of it was Spanish only. If you dont know Spanish you better take some classes. To be honest if i owned a business out here i wouldnt even hire someone that didnt speak Spanish and English. On another note about those dopes in Quebec. I bet they gladly accept payment from non French speaking people. Throw me off the roof my hammer. Throw the cow over the fence some hay. Thats how they bastardize English.

Spanish gets murdered in the northeast by those who learned it as a first language just like the dopes who learned English first and cant speak it too well. No matter what the culture is they seem to wreck the language.
