A week or so ago I finally got a chance to hook up Turbolink for the first time (or any scan tool for that matter). I had just finished upgrading the exhaust from stock to ATR dual 3" and putting in a THDP.
The car is in SC at my father's and I haven't been able to bring it up to NJ yet. I hadn't driven the car since the stock turbo had blown and been replaced a couple months ago. The car had been sputtering or something at full throttle around christmas, but everything seems fine after the turbo was replaced. The intercooler was also flushed thoroughly after the turbo blew.
The car has stock turbo, intercooler, trans, convertor and nothing has been touched internally as far as I know. I think the chip is a Red 93 but I forgot to verify when I was in SC. Upgrades include blue top injectors, walboro fuel pump, boost gauge, adjustable wastegate, and adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
My first impression driving the car for the first time with the new exhaust was that the pickup seemed a lot quicker. Seemed like the tires were more eager to spin also. The tone of the ATR dual 3" was not as loud as I thought it would be (previous exhaust was stock without cat). It still had a deeper rumble at idle and was easier to hear wide open. I didn't try opeing the dump from the THDP. There's a slight drone cruising at 45 mph or so, but not very loud. The THDP looks HUGE!!
The ATR SS exhaust looks great from underneath. I heard no rattles or anything when driving. Installation was performed by a mechanic friend who has a lift. He needed a few minor adjustments but nothing major.
Hooking up the Turbolink couldn't be any easier. The only problems I ran into was occasionally some readings and my MPH would look wierd and I'd close Turbolink and restart it. All connections were double checked and seemed fine. It was pretty cool replaying my first run. I never looked at the laptop during a run but had a passenger to update me. All my runs were basically brake boosted 5 mph starts to about 90 mph on some back roads. For all runs, boost was only at 15-16 psi. Fuel pressure was at 43 line off.
To my surprise, I noticed some retard on my runs when I got up to around 50+ mph. Now that I think of it, maybe the chip in the car has more timing than I thought. Or maybe my boost reading were off, etc. I decided to buy some Xylene and record some before and after runs to see what was going on. First time using Xylene too! I was only able to find some one gallon cans, but that would suffice for what I was doing.
Here's my before and after runs from Turbolink with Xylene. Xylene was mixed 1:3 with a couple ounces of MM oil.

To me, it looks like everything is pretty good except the retard on the before Xylene run. Maybe the chip has higher timing than I thought? Anyway, the retard went away with the Xylene so it seems like higher octane is all I need!
