Flu Season has hit hard here

I have been off work for 4 days; Dr said I had Influinza Type A and a chest/sinus infection.

The whole family has had it for about 2 weeks.

It wipes you out.

Everyone at my house has been through it already. Our 3mo old got over it faster than the rest. This thing isn't just a cold, it really takes everything in you just to breathe. I guess the next thing to hit around here is strep.

Bad flu this year.

I got it from my 6 year old grand-daughter who had the typical symptoms PLUS laryngitis. She's had it for about one month now and still isn't over it.

I've had it for 3 weeks and am still not over it. It isn't as severe as some flues I've had but it just stays and stays.

I was off work for 3 days and still have it in my lungs and head 7 days later. It is some really bad stuff. I felt worse than I ever have through the years of getting the flu. I will be in the flu shot line next year for sure. My wife has had it along with my father. My 3 kids are next I guess. I really don't want to see anyone else get it knowing now how bad it is.

The same thing put my pop in the hospitle he's out now but has not left the house in 3 wks. It really kick his butt. The flu shoot totally miss this year.

Count my family in also. Both the wife and I missed some work over it. I still have the congestion from it 2 weeks later. our 3 month old still has it too. She almost needed breathing treatments.

No flu for me yet but I did get a nice stomach virus that kept me in the bathroom for a good day and a half.

I had it, my wife had it, my 3 year old daughter had it.... I'm just now getting over it, easily 2 weeks later. It sucked, to say the least.

YUP, went to work all week feeling cold, headache, tired, just like a hangover -so I was kinda used to that. Then went to my sinuses and went straight to a sore throat within a day. A day later I'm starting to hack up crap and cough. Worked 12 hours last night. COuldn't smoke or yell at anyone when I got pissed off, so it was a looooong night

Try working in a nursing home.:biggrin: (day job) We have three wings in our building and they are under a quaratine. So far so good as far as me getting it. Got the flu shot so hopefully it is doing it's job. Stupid infection control nurse suggested we open all the patient room windows today. Was in the low teens this morning.

We have some virus going on around here. It last about 10 days it feels like you have the flu but it is not the flu so getting a flu shot really does you no good.

Something was trying to get me for a few weeks finally went to the doctors. Upper respiratory infection. Put me on Augmentin and I felt better the next day. Still taking them and fighting it off.

I have had this for going on three weeks.
I was getting better, then got hit with an ear infection.
Anyone have a hot poker I can pop my eardrum with?
Anyway I can handle being sick, but it has been tough to
see my little family be sick.

My baby Joshua has been so congested he has trouble sleeping.
He also has been choking on the mucus and projectile throwing up for a couple days. Monday night he had higher than a 103* temp and I ended up giving him a cold bath and medicine until about 6 a.m. Just the other morning I was up with him until 7 a.m. when I thought I would pass out so I just had to put him in his crib and lay down. We took him to the Dr and he has the flu and bronchitis.

My beloved wife Sharon also had the bronchitis from the flu.
She has been barking like a wounded seal and been throwing up from the mucus in her stomach. Cold sweats and hot sweats for everyone as well.

It has been so hard to take care of my family and try and take care of my work responsibilities.

Anyone that has this terrorizing their home has my prayers with them.
