Forced Induction's FI91X report!

The car is already setup for a set I have stored in the shop. I think you're right. I'd better dust them off and have them on the car until I can see what this is going to be like.

I didn't see any nitrous being used. That thing spooled up pretty decent.


That car uses NO nitrous, since the class they run does not allow it. The turbo spools very nicely indeed.

Tomorrow I should have the aftercooler to throttle body piping finished. I'll get some new pics then.

The adapter flange was a walk in the park compared to the plumbing.
 
The Trans Am with the FI98X was at our local Home Depot cruise night this past Saturday...that is one hell of a setup. The owners are form a local sop in Finksburg MD Performance Auto Fabrication about 10 minutes from me.

Sick pictures.....that 98X is working well for him. He's making over 1000rwhp at only 20psi and a small 366 LS1 motor. It will be fun to watch when he's in the 30psi range.
 
All that's left is the compressor inlet housing.

Here's the adapted turbo hanger/boost control solenoids bracket. I tested it by unbolting the turbo from the exhaust flange. I needed to seal the flange adapter for final assembly. The hanger looks flimsy, but it held the weight just fine while I sealed the flange adapter. The vacuum hoses have since been tie wrapped.
