Found out why my TCC didn't lock, MAN am i lucky!

Well after replacing the solenoid and converter, i went with the last part in the chain, the front pump. When we disassempled the front pump we found the pump vane reatiner ring broken and pump vanes laying in there!!! :eek:

The piece that broke off of the retainer ring was stuck in the TCC valve keeping it stuck.

Well at least we found the problem. This was all on a bone stock car as well!
 
A good reason to repalce the failure prone stock pump rings if you have to ever pull your stock or nearly stock trans.

You hit the nail right on the head. My best friend works there. Next time your there just look for the big pic of a hottie on the wall. Thats her. Get Rome to grow his balls back and we can have a big party there. He explained why he cant go to places like that anymore. Something bout falling in love too easy. Thats some funny s hit!
