i got my mease dp today and was suprised to see the in each of the bends were dimples or dents. The dp isn't mandrial bent. WTF? he makes me wait for like 3 months and im like it doesn't really matter cus his quailty of work will make up for it. But now that its here, and it F'ing bent up im pissed! Any suggestions on how to handel it the right way?? with out getting out of line?

That sucks. I had to wait 6 months for mine, but it looked really nice when I finally got it. Try to contact him or maybe one of the mods on here. I think Nick was helping when he could. Hopefully, Keith will get another one out to you quickly. I'm sure he will make good on it. It's just a matter of how long. Good luck.

Look at the top of the forum head home page. Nick Micale has a sticky there to deal with this kind of thing. Mark

still waiting. it's been since early may. tried to pm nick but his inbox is full.

I can only help out with anyone who is waiting for used parts. I have no control (and neither does Keith) on down pipes and intercoolers as he is at the mercy of the suppliers of the parts.
As for the person who started this thread....
All of Keith's down pipes are mandrel bent. The exceptions would be:
Turbo Trans Am pipes
Hot Air pipes
3.5" in custom down pipes
The above 3 do utilize mandrel bent elbos, but they do require some cutting and welding on his part to fit the application.
What you are seeing on your pipe is quite common on many mandrel bends and it is not something that is possible to eliminate. Terry Huston experienced the same issue of minor dimples or waves on the bends. If you were to buy a new exhaust system from Flow master, Walker, Borla, etc you will see the same thing on many of their bends as well and they are at the mercy of the people who bend their stuff as well. This becomes more common the large in diameter the pipe becomes.
If you are that anal about them, then I suggest trying something different.

get us some pics of the dimples-

both of my ATR SS pipes have streaks all the way down the pipes from the process, and they both have small fingernail slices all the way down the pipes..

Got mine about a month ago and it was a very nice piece. No complaints here besides the wait.

My Mease DP has a couple dimples, but they are very small and typical for the type of bends they are. I have seen this before in 3" mandrel bent exhaust pipes, so it was absolutely of no concern to me. It is a quality piece and bolted up real nice. The only complaint I had was of course the wait and the fact that I had to send it back because the wastegate flange wasn't lined up right. (That took another month)

My ATR pipe has something similar on it. Never gave it any thought...car rocks and it works well! The exhaust coming out of the housing will fly right by those spots. Do you have a show-car?

should not look like that at all-

i wouldnt accept it if your car is a show and go car, then again, i wouldnt accept it if it wasnt either-

looks like crap IMO-

Yikes man! Those aren't dimples, those are friggin Ripples! My DP is near perfect. Is that for a TR, or a TTA? My personal opinion is that you have a very valid right to be angry. I know I'd be pissed about that.
