Took the 4.1 car out on a 7 hour road trip for it's maiden voyage after a new 4.1, new Lonnies trans, and new 9" was installed this winter. We went to pick up AustinIBEW145's car from Jimmy's Tranny's. The cars are just lovin the cool weather mixed with E85!!!

WE only had one hickup when my coolant temp sensor failed. We were literally watching the gas gauge go down and it ran like crap but we made it to an AutoZone and got'er back up and running hard! The car is dialed in at 28lbs of boost at the moment on stock fuel lines and a Walboro 340 in the tank. NO KNOCK!! I'm planning to dial it down to 20 to be safe then start tuning up from there. BUT, E85 is such an awesome fuel and gives us the ability to run hard with no worries!!! Love this stuff!!!!!

Also gotta give a two thumbs up to both Jimmy and Lonnie! These trannies are BEAST!!!!!!

What is this E85 you speak of? Is it some kind of wonder gas or something?

I like the flex fuel badge on the back of the car, and what wheels are on the Buick that is closer in the photo?

off topic-Any one ever make there own i.e. 8.5 gal of methanol and 1.5 gal of 93, or mix any amount of methanol in with a tank of gas? It would be a pain to mix if daily driving.

The wheels on the closest car are Centerlines. Not sure of the model.

For those who have asked, yes E85 IS WONDER GAS!!!!!!!

How can you beat 105 octane, ethonal to cool the charge, at the pump for $3.00 a gallon!!!!!!!!

Aaron, I'm sure you will see this car in person! Are you planning to cruise the Power Tour? We will be hitting Indy and then going to Detroit. I'll be dropping this car off to OneFastGN on the way to Muskegan to get painted.

Yeah Buddy!!!

I like the flex fuel badge on the back of the car.

E85 is very fun. Sorry it's only popular in the midwest.

What car is the E-85 badge off. I had the same idea. Thought it would make the car ok with my tree hugger friends.

love the E85..

regarding the flex fuel badges: they are put on pretty much every GM vehicle that has a flex fuel option.. there was a guy on Craigslist that had abunch of them that he took off a fleet of company trucks that he was trying to sell for $20 a piece shipped to me.. i offered him $5 each for 10 of them just to have, and i would drive down and pick them up myself.
he shot me down.
a week later, he emailed me with an offer of $10 each.. i countered with an offer of $2 each for as many as he wanted to sell me just because.. never heard back from him.

CT is one of the most densely populated states in the nation and one of the wealthiest. just makes no sense why its not available here when its available is NY, NJ, MA and RI.

Agreed on the transmission!

JD, it's good to see it running and I'm glad your planning on power tour. If you check the power tour sponsor page they are advertising free dyno pulls to people who produce a receipt for a recent Lucas oil product and some type of spark plugs. I hope to see you and Aaron again. I'm currently planning on leaving the GN at home for this one though.
