HappY Birthday! WHat was on the birthday gift list????????

I have to ask. Nasty Wendy. How'd you know?

You know us folks down here in South Louisiana are sike-ikk. I looked into my crystal ball and it said "You know today is Donnie Wang's birthday". I said "No shat?". And my crystal ball reminded me that you are the guy that runs a super quiet gear drive that I would like to duplicate on my engine and told me that I should kiss up to you by wishing you a happy birthday. Crystal said that may score me some points and get you to share the secrets of the quiet gear drive with me. Thats how I knew.

Heck! I don't want to upset the guy with the crystal ball so I'll tell you the secret.
Set the backlash at each gear to gear contact to .005 to .007".
Make sure the plate is tightly secured.
Supply a pressurized spray of oil directly to the idler gear bearing.

I'm not sure exactly why my gearset is quiet while others is noisy. Mine has always been quiet from the first install on an iron Stage II block and then on the TA block. I kinda think it has to do with the pressurized oiling to the idler gear.
