Nope!  Guess I'm the first to say it in this thread.
 
I SHOULD pay more attention to local elections where my voice really matters, but when you don't live in a swing state, the electoral vote system negates any effort to vote for president.
 
Kansas is going republican regardless of my input.  If there's a republican candidate that is so bad that they can't secure Kansas, they got no shot in hell anyway.  Truthfully I can't even imagine a republican candidate that can't win Kansas, unless someone uncovers a serious scandal during the race.  Thinking more about it, I might have to google the history of Kansas election results.
 
I understand many people fought and died for my right to vote and I deeply respect that, but they also fought for my right to choose not to for whatever reason I choose.  And I choose not to because of the electoral college system and the way lobbyists turn the candidates into their puppets.  I refuse to vote for the lesser of 2 evils.  I probably will vote more in local elections in the future, but I try and try to pretend to be interested in it and just can't stay focused on it. 
 
There I'm done.  Dammit I swore i'd never talk politics on an internet forum.  I guess I failed.
