Over a year ago I had two stints put in the ol ticker and found out a couple months and chest pain later that the doc installed the second stint blocking a branch artery. He tried for 2.5 hrs to correct the problem but was not able to fix it. I talked with a buddy of mine who is a doctor (and fellow GN owner) and he suggested I go see another specialist about an hour north of me. (Dr. William Lombardi) I went to him and after his proceedure he came into my room and said "sorry.....but I did in 12 SECONDS what the other guy tried doing in two and a half hours. Fast forward from March to November and I start having mild cchest pain after walking 1/4 mile and it starts ramping up over a few weeks. Went back in yesterday and he found that the other doc had installed too small of a stint in the primary heart arter
y and scar tissue had built up. He used a balloon (made sure it was a blown and tweaked into a baboon before he started........like a carnival clown would) and he inflated it to smash the scar tissue behind the stint and also enlarge the ID of the stint. Hopefully this will last more than 8 months this time. So....Happy New Year everyone! I took a lickin' but kept on ticken'!!!!! Woo-hoo.
