I'm running the 70% stuff(.25 per pint at Walmart)
I assume it is 70% ISO and 30% water.
Are you guys running this stuff further diluting this?
I read on the Kenne Bell site they are taking 70% ISO and then adding 50% water to the mix so it looks like their final mixture is about 35% ISO the rest H2O.
I realize the fuel benifit is gone then but how is that going to affect the timing one can run and will that mean a smaller shot can be used thenm?
Thanks
Steve

I'm not sure how good a water/alky mix would be, but the directions on the SMC kit say that pure denatured works the best and that's all I use. It's only around $9 a gallon. It will last a good while, if you're not constantly on the floor. I was thinking of trying the water/alky mix but isn't rubbing alcohol only 101 octane while denatured is closer to 117 or so?

When I used the Isopropyl, I shot for a 50/50 mix. I felt my car ran better with less knock, than if I used the 70/30 out of the bottle. Just add a little distilled water. As far as denatured, better you to spend $9 a gallon, than me. Methanol is only $2.50 a gallon and it works great in my $150 diy kit. :D

'Iso' is lower quality in character vis-a-vis the other alcohols.
Methanol works just fine and is cheap in bulk, but has slightly fewer BTU's than denatured.

i am going to be running 100% denatured in my dual nozzle kit...how much octane is that again??? 117? if that is so then that would be sweet...that way i can run full boost on my te-44 turbo...

Denatured alcohol is only 100 octane? I thought it was much higher? It seems odd to me I run 7-9 more psi with alky injection than with regular pump gas. I wonder what i could run with 116 octane race gas?

wellll... remember to take into account the cooling from latent heat of alky. This will contribute to overall effect.

100% alky is easier to tune, but it doesnt necessarily "work the best". I suspect Steve phrases it that way because most of his clientel are first time users, and all first timers should start at 100% alky IMO. Then as you learn add H2O for better knock suppression
