Yesterday, within a 10 min period, I see these swarm of about 40 bees at the back corner of the house, Out of nowhere! Some made it into the screened patio. So I grab the wasp killer spray and EMPTY the can spraying in the air outside AND in the patio. They did not die immediately (like the wasps do), but when I cam back late in the evening, they were all dead, kind of in the same area. WEIRD! Did a search and I can not distinguish the species (see pic). Anyone know?

could bee

Down in Texas they could be killer bees, keep a look out and be careful

Not killer bees. Just your regular fuzzy honey bee. We used to pet them when we were kids. I'm no scientist but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Then again..... "Killer Bees" are Honey bees....just ones that are "Africanized".

If you live in the Houston area they are prolly mutant bees from all the refineries.

LOL
Have not seen ANY bees since that day.
I use brake or carb cleaner and a lighter ............

If they swarmed in from out of nowhere then the chances of them being of the "killer bee" species is about 99%. They have a pack mentality and travel in swarms only stopping to rest. This is getting to be a problem in small airports where there are little or no trees, no signs, bushes, or anything the bees can rest on so they choose planes. More and more airports are finding massive bee colonies in wings, tail sections, and other hollowed out areas of a plane.

Like others have said, fashion yourself a home made blow torch and set them all on fire.

I have seen that Big Arse Hornet, but I think it was called a Japeness Hornett, let me tell you that fckr is bug and scary lookin...was hovering in front of a door and looking at me ,I think he was thinking "your not going past me " and i didnt ,went around the building ....they had a nest in the ground...

The hornets in that video are called Japanese Giant Hornets. They nest in tree's and are good for nothing more than killing bees that actually produce something.

What you probably saw was a mud wasp, they nest in the ground and are huge mean looking things.

I am allergic to bees and also have a phobia of needles (that kills the epie pen) so I try to keep up on all types of bees and where they like to hang out so I can steer clear. Fortunately, the super hornets are not here yet (so I have heard) and I live in a cold state so the Africanized bees dont like it here either.

HAHAHAHA!!! I had to respond to this - I was laying under the GN the other night (replacing the rubber radiator "air box") and out of the corner of my eye I saw something moving under the back end of the car. I thought I was imagining things at first but then I saw it again and when I looked I realized it was one of those HUGE "tree" roaches scurrying around near the pass. rear tire. (I hate cockroaches!! ) So I jumpted up from under the car and looked for something to assult this disgusting, winged freak of nature with. First I grabbed an old shoe, but then I saw a can of "STP Brake Parts Cleaner" and I thought, "hmmmm......that stuff really burns if you get it in your eye or an open cut (don't ask  )....wonder if cockroaches like it???....) well...one good blast from with that stuff sent the little armored brown bast&*@ running like his butt was on fire!!! and about five minutes later it was doing some kind of "death-dance" outside on the driveway  it was kinda funny and kinda creepy at the same time :p
it was "legs up" on the driveway this morning.
