This is a older gentlemen, who used to race/own sprint cars, very nice to talk to. He just asked me to have a plastic container, I bought a 5 gallon blue plastic kerosene container from Wal-Mart, and no leaks on the 30 min. ride home!

I get mine from local bracket racers, most will usually spare 5 gallons. Most of them are paying $120 - $140 for a 55 gallon drum here in North GA

I paid $190 for 99.9% pure racing quality methanol plus $15 barrel charge. You can pick up by the gallon or barrel in Billings. And you can pick up by the barrel in Belgrade.

Pure motor methanol as that is what they run through their go-karts.

Price changes but last I checked it was $2.50 a gallon. Call first and ask for the manager, if they are short they wont sell but if they have a surplus its just money in their pocket so they will most likely sell you some.

We use methyl alcohol here producing computer chips (IBM). My web searches say it's the same thing. We go through thousands of gallons. Does anyone know any more about it? My buddy handles it and spills more daily than I need for my personal use. I'm sure I can capture some of it.

Anyone know where a fella might find some methanol in Eastern Canada? Hard up to find any amount of it around here. I'm in Nova Scotia but any leads in the maritimes would be appreciated. Thanks.

$4.00 a gallon at Hi Tech. Vic lowered the price a little.
