Cops with guns and booze are a bad mix.
I admit my opinion of LEOs is not very high, mostly due to incidents I know are true and stems from them thinking they are above the law and regular citizens.
Most recently I was part of a group that showed our cars at Irwindale and in doing so we get to do 2 or 3 parade laps. While waiting to enter the display one guy is drinking pretty heavy, 80 proof stuff. One of the participants tells me he is a LEO. When we do our parade lap, we only got one, this guy almost puts his car into the wall 3 times. Almost everyone does burnouts, but this guy loses control every time. After his 2nd near miss the pace car suddenly directs us off the track. I really wanted to thank him, but I figured he was heeled.
I won't relate the story about HS friend's brother who became a local cop, was married, and killed a marine fighting over a woman in a bar.
That is all.
