Do you guys think MSD 50# injectors are enough for a gt6157 turbo?I know the correct way to tune is with a wideband, but it not in my budget. My 02s lean way anytime i tune up the boost more than 21#s.Even with cranking the alky speed way up.I am not sure if the fuel pressure is also keeping up,i have yet to put a fuel gauge that reaches to the windshield on.I was just conserend i made the wrong choise in injectors.

50# injectors, on a car with an upgraded intank pump, hot wired and verified fuel pressure under WOT (1psi boost = 1psi fuel pressure under WOT, in your case, 45psi hose off to set it then put the hose back on before making a blast,+ 21psi of boost, should = 66psi of steady fuel pressure under WOT) will support roughly 600 flywheel hp when pushed. That turbo will support roughly 630 flywheel hp when maxed out.
Injectors are fine.
However, eventhough you have alky, you still need a chip that will raise injector duty cycle over the standard 75% that most street chips have. Most street chips will have between 70-75% injector duty cycle in their program, which is typically sufficient for 16-17psi on 93 octane. If you run this same chip and turn the boost to 21psi, even with alky, the car could run lean. You might not see detonation due to the alky, but you still run the risk of everything that comes with a lean condition. If you plan on keeping the alky and always running 93 octane, then the answer is to get a custom Turbo Tweak alky chip from Eric.
This will give you complete tuning capability with your combo.
Those injectors will match that turbo just fine. Just have to verify fuel pressure under WOT and make sure your pump is getting proper voltage.

Well that could be part of the problem then. Its a tt chip, but i bought it used and it is setup for a pt51 turbo,93 + alky.I asked eric and he said it should work and to give it a try.Maybee there isnt enough fuel in the chip.I will check the fuel pressure.

I personally would buy the 60# injectors, as you someday in the future may wanna go bigger, no sense buying them twice. They will work just as well as the 50#'ers besides.

Eric should be able to tell you the injector duty cycle that was default programmed into your chip, if you give him the code that's on your chip label. You might just need to increase your WOT fuel %. I would write down what your chips settings are and discuss it with Eric. The more info you can tell him as far as what current settings you have on your chip, as well as tuning results, the better he can help dial in your tune.

I had that on my GN I sold this spring. 50lb,tt chip, and razors duel nozel alky kit. That car would pull hard at 22 to 26 psi and would not lean out. Spend the money on the kit and you will be set. I had a pt 51 turbo before and ran 11.40 at 117mph and this motor was never opened up other than the valve springs. Then I added the 6157 bb turbo and I swear that car would go 11.00 flat or better. I never got to run it.:(

I went 126mph at 3600 lbs with alky and 6 50's. DC was about 78%. So yes they are plenty for a 6157 in almost all instances. I feel i could have gone 124mph easily with the 50's and no alky. You could easily go 130mph with alky and 50's if everything is working together. This is real data. Not some BS wet dream that someone on here might have posted. Get a re-burn form Eric and you should be gtg if your WALBRO pump can keep up. But i wouldnt trust it too much:biggrin: . 60's are not needed in your situation. Id skip the 60's and go right to 83's if you buy injectors. No need to have to upgrade again and again:tongue:
