if you are spinning drop the launch boost down
its not the foot print issue , more tire is nice but the tire can get it done
proper cleanoff of tire (go around water box so you dont track water to the line )
only spin them till the start to smoke ..not john force burnouts or they get slippery
track prep ,,if you run with the street tire guys that go through the water and the launch pad is wet ..youll spin
work on your rear suspension
i know of a stock turbo car with D5 restall that could get into the 1.5s on the 255/60 and ran 11.9 . stock sway bars , but no worn parts.. all bushing were replaced with energy susp and the shocks were bilsteins , springs were cargo coils
on 255/50-16s which many said wouldnt hook i would leave at 3500-3750 off the two step (about 5-6psi on a 9" atr carr) with a stageright brake 2004rand do 1.50's and run mid 10s ..obviously im not stock h level so it can get to the 60' quicker with out a hard hit
my rear suspension on that car is boxed lower stock arms , stock uppers , stock springs , hrparts HD swaybar , cheap 3 way shock on firm
front suspension is stock with eibach -1 drop springs , because of the lighter front end it need the drop spring to be closer to stock height , and no front sway bar
on 255/50-16 ive run bottom 11s with a te44 and 1.55 60s footbraking leaving at 3 psi (2800 10.5" converter)and flashing to 20psi at 4100 rpm before the car moved 1 ft this car had less hp so the hit was harder off the lights
oh and the tire pressure was usually around 21psi
