well will just have to wait and find out, and hope his shot is not as big as I been told

If your car is only got the mods listed, plus alcky, I would be extra careful... I've seen those cars pull off low 12's with N02 and slicks!

I would make him put take the bottle out.... then it would be on... if you were tuned with alky...... if he puts stickies on... and leaves off idle... and sprays 150.... your goose is cooked with a stock turbo... alky... race gas.... it doesn't matter....

I agree. If he pulls the bottle then you have a chance... If he says he never installed the no2 kit in the first place, you better know where to look for that nozzle/nylon line in the air box...and the tank in the back side panels/fender/doors even...

My good friend had a 95 Z28 T-Top with Flowmasters, K&N, Nitrous Fuel Pump & 175 shot and it ran 11.60's with DR's. It was an Automatic also.

His spot for the N20 was in a gym bag with a bottle warmer behind the drivers back seat on the floor board. The steel braided line ran under the car and up into this expansion chamber tube that was stock on the engine side of the radiator. Nobody could see it unless you crawled under the car. Good Luck.

I would have NO problem running that race straight up. The buick should be a solid 12.00 to 12.20 car at 21-22 psi on drag radials. Any less & your leaving stuff on the table. The camaro can put down a number but will have traction, manual shifting & bottle pressure working against it. Good luck!!

Don't underestimate an LS1 especially on spray. Those motors make a lot of power. A co-worker has one with a small nitrous setup and runs 11's all day.

Brent, I think Blazer was trying to say that the LSx motors are faster than the already quick LTx motors. Don't think he was insulting your friend, just letting 'o9le boy know that he better come loaded for bear. Aloha.

He's right. If I came off as a smart a$$ sorry Blazer. Didn't mean anything by it. ;) I'm just giving some input on the matter. :)

The Z28 has 6 or 7 MPH over the times in your sig in stock form. With a 150 shot of nitrous you might have some trouble even when you're done with the alky.

Baseline it at the track first so you'll know what you need to do.

I raced him before I was on street tire and spun 1st and he pulled at the end, thats before I even had the tt chip, power plate and so on

Plain and simple You are going to lose, unless your running 11.5 and get a good 1.60 you will be seeing his taillights, you may get him out of the hole but pass the 1/8 he will blow by you like your standing still..

good luck.

Get your mods on and do a little test/tuning before you race him. It might be a good close race but I think he's got the edge.

I guess I should have elaborated a little.... yes... I was eluding to the fact the the modded LS1 motors are known for being stronger than the modded LT1's... and that modded LT1 was running (very respectable) solid 11's....

Sorry I should have better defined what I meant....

With a stock turbo.... most never make it out of the 12's..... not trying to suggest you can't.... just that you can't assume... you can if you bolt on part x... part y ... and part Z.... and go run 11's with a stock turbo.... it just isn't that easy.....

With proper mods... a lightly modded LS1 with a 150HP shot can go down with ease... on pump gas...... just don't think you can do it with your planned mods.....

On the street.... both on street tires.... if you have a 12.0 sec car... you will likely have a closer race going from a dig.... if you can drive.... cause he will have a harder time trying to hook (when he hits his juice) than you will... if you know your car real good...it will be a good run... but he will suck the paint off your car when he does come by.

Just race him, my money's on the Z28 though. Most LS1 Fbody cars trap 116-120 w/ a 100-150 shot. You may beat him, if he falls asleep @ the lights or runs out of juice. LS1's are no slouch!!

You will not touch his mph with what you have. You will need more turbo and 23-25 psi boost. Stock turbo and stock intercooler isnt going to cut it. You will need to leave clean and he will need to sleep and spin for it to be close. Without the turbo your looking at 12.0's-12.10's on a really good day (1.65 60ft.). His worst case is 11.70's if he pulls off a 1.75 60ft. To match You will need open exhaust, dutt neck intercooler, and a TE44 minimum to hit 116-117mph at 25 psi on a decent tune. Then again you will need more injector and another chip from Eric. At that point it would be a good race. Any less than what i said and you will have a hard time. Too bad you dont live near me. Id let you borrow the parts required to whip his a$$ good. Then we could get some money out of that clown:biggrin: .

i have 2 gn's myself, and i also own a ls1 ws6.mine bone stock went 12.98@110,they make alot of mph,if he has the free mods done and putting the spray to it he is probably depending on traction gonna be in the 11's and in the 120mph range
