Hi All,

We're swapping intake manifolds on my son's 383" MCSS which currently has a breather on each valve cover and NO PCV valve. The engine has ~ 6000 miles on it and the inside of the valve covers were shiny black with baked on oil - it almost looked like gloss black anodizing. It came off OK with carb cleaner and elbow grease. The lifter valley looked great, though. I'm thinking he needs a PCV valve, but am not sure how to install one...

TIA!

I think they make a grommet that slides into the cover
You pop the PCV into that grommet & then run the hose
to the back of carb or some vacuum location.

There should be a big 3/8" "pipe" fitting at the front/base of the carb to hook the pcv hose to.
Put the pcv valve in a grommet on the driver's valve cover.

It's that simple? Cool! I was envisioning what you're saying on the PASS side and a baffled breather on the DR side with a hose connected to the air cleaner (pulling in "cleaned" air). Maybe not necessary?

So, I can tee into the 3/8" hose running from rear of carb to brake booster?

Thanks!
