Well, I have read some articles here and there concerning the "last Grand National built". From what I have read, there's some debate. Some say the last one built went to a GM employee who won a drawing for the car. Others say the last one built went to Robert Colvin, a car dealer in Louisiana.
Now IMO, if you go by the definition of "built", Colvin's car takes the title seeing as it is the last car to roll down the assembly line. But if you go by VIN, Mr. Morgan (GM Employee) has the final VIN numbered car.
Either way, they are both pieces of TB History that I personally find pretty cool.
Well, all of this blabber is here due to the fact that I just got off the phone with Robert Colvin's brother, James. He told me Bob still has the GN. It's tucked away in a very safe place. He also told me I was welcome to come over and take some pics of the car and check it out. Needless to say, I will be doing this especially considering the car resides about an hour and a half from my house and about 45 minutes from where my parents live.
James took my number and said his brother would definitely be calling me back soon so we could talk cars and make arrangements for me to come look at the Last GN Built.
I figured some people here might take interest in this topic. So here's a thread. As soon as I have pics (probably Tuesday of next week), they will be posted up.
Until then...
