i need an honest no bias opinon on whether the 1987 buick grand national will out run a 2006 dodge viper srt. also whether the gnx of 1987 will out run the same viper. if you have the facts can you please help me out thanks. also you can send your replies to my email at hazmat_08@hotmail.com

Are saying bone stock vs. bone stock?

SRT's claims of a 0-60 of under 4 seconds and a quarter-mile time in the low 12s.

Not if the GN had the Twin Turbo V8 option it won't. I hear those are rare tho....

Vipers are slow and any slightly modified TR with a few simple bolt ons would crush a Viper.

I seen the video but you have to realize that its neither the gnx or the srt 10 and that video has to be stagged I don't believe for a second that they would leave him standing still like that that's the reason I'm asking from someone who owns the gnx or the gn

Both of those GNs were modded. It wasnt staged they just had more power, then the Viper missed a gear and gave up. Stock vs. stock the Viper will win.

The Viper will skulldrag a stock or lightly modded GN. IMO If your going up against one you better have some power and tires i.e. race gas or methanol better turbo H/C and good hooking ubber. Hes gonna make some serious ground starting mid track

Bone stock for bone stock, the viper will make it back to the staging lanes, before the GN hits the traps. Though, where on this earth, are you going to find a bone stock viper, and a bone stock gn to race? Even a SLIGHTLY modded GN will run 12.20s all day. What's the viper run?
I'm not biased in the least, but with todays offerings, a very mildly modded gn will most likely beat the viper. It's easier than you think it is..
