When autocrossing an '87 GN for the first time the engine would die at least once per run. No coughing or sputtering just a clean cut off. Usually happened during cornering or going into a corner. Always restarted right away with no problem. Also no problems during normal street driving. Could this be torque converter clutch solenoid not disengaging when required?? Has anyone else experienced similar?? Thanks

If your TCC was not unlocking, it would feel like coming to a stop in a manual transmission car and not putting in the clutch - it will stutter and may die. Also it will be slow to build boost. If the stall occurs during cornering, you probably have some other issue and I would try posting in general tech so you get more views.
