Seems like they mave have lost a part that was mailed to me.
My question is: Has anyone had something not show up when it was supposed to? This package left the sorting facility on 10/11 which is 20 miles away. Local post office never received it. I've called the consumer affairs dept., started a case on it and nothing yet.
They keep telling me it may show up, but I'm pretty sure it's gone. Don't think the shipper put insurance on it. I don't blame him, I've shipped a million things and never put any insurance on anything.

I ordered a laptop stand from Mark at TR a couple of months ago. I was so busy with work I hadn't even noticed how long it had been. But Mark, being the absolutely kick-ass vendor he is, checked with me to see if I had gotten everything ok. As it turns out, the PO had somehow sent my stand to Postal Oblivion before it could get to me. I got many an apology and was told the brutal honest truth that I would probably never see it. Oddly enough, SEVERAL weeks later, it showed up. So keep hope alive, TURBO. Your stuff may yet arrive. :)

DJ, that makes me feel better. Especially because I've lost hope. When you say "several" how long was it?

Ed, How did you know?

The US postal service has some of the stupidest people working for them.

I don't know how many times i have gotten other peoples mail in my mail box and mine delivered to someone else.

I know they give them a test before hiring them but reading must not have anything to do with it.

UPS is another cluster fvck with some real winners working for them. I had a package come all the way from Washington state and it made it all the way here to Ohio and once it went out for delivery they ended up leaving it at the house next door,i would have never gotten it if the people next door didn't bring it over to me, and my address was clearly written on the box with 3" letters and numbers.

THIS HAPPENS TO ME EVERYTIME.

yup, almost every letter and package I have sent gets lost.

happened twice last week, and a bazillion times before.

It can be very very hard and fusterating when dealing parts on the board, I have had payments show up 6 months after i got and repayed the part.

seriously, paypal is a god bless-it for me.

it really sucks, to have to apologize for you payment being late or the part not being there, or it just never shows up. makes me feel like some kind of deadbeat. not trying to be.... just the mail F*UCKS ME EVERYTIME.

So dont feel bad, I finally just decided to use the post office on my military base exclusively because i know there somebodys accountable.

Roughly 5 weeks. I was a day away from ordering another stand from Mark when the original one arrived.

The same thing happened to Ed when he ordered his doll. :D

Shipped at the end of July and arrived mid September I believe! :(

Funny how this subject came up today. My mailman went above and beyond today. Picked up four wheels that were DELIVERED to me today by FEDEX!!!! Had to be a detective to figure out what happened as my shipments out were NOT picked up and mail was in the mailbox. Had to track the wheels down myself at the post office annex.

My engraver has had some stuff go out and when we go to track it says NO RECORD OF THIS ITEM! Luckily everything showed up except for one package and hopefully that will be there soon since it was a big order.

How did you get the info that it left the facility ... did it have delivery confirmation on it? ---

Man...as a Postal worker I have to take this with a grain of salt. I am amazed at how you guy rag on the job the Postal service does. I would love to place one of you in the shoes of a carrier for a day. I want to see you deal with the mislabled packages, some of the rude public, and overall work load of a single day. I'm not asking for a pat on the back for doing what we get paid for, but come on!

Mark, how many packages have you shipped with success this year alone? How many did you come on the board and thank the company for? Yeah, I'm sure the ratio is a bit biased. I have products from you, shipped by the Postal Service, and suggested that others do the same and pointed them in your direction. I guess since you can't offer the same in return I know what to do for now on.

Whitehot1...wow...

Unless this package shows up I'm out of $550! I guess you can understand my frustration.

I sure can and apologize for the inconvience on behalf of the U.S.P.S. People do make mistakes and we are well aware if that. I just wish you would have had insurance on the package if it was worth that much.:frown:

My aunt worked for them her entire career.

Crazy stories but, the best/worst was a man on one of her routes threatened to kill her. He was mad because she would toss his news paper out of the mailbox and onto the ground next to it. Hmmmm to threaten the life of a government employee. She just had a few guys with badges stop by his house. She said he never was seen outside when she would deliver mail after that.

Hopefully your stuff will show up.

Im the one who sent the part yes had a confermation # but no inssurance neverhad to use it .... seems like someone would know where it was since it had to be scanned ?

delivery confirm paypal and my exp

i had an ebay account for the longest before i got tired of the BS. one thing about paypal i cannot stand is how buyer biased they are. i had one guy with winning bid on a broke flat screen monitor. this guy was asian, only reason i knew that was because 22 days after i sent it he makes a claim on my paypal. of course they in turn take his money and set it aside which i knew was lost already. So trying to see what's up i called fed ex and they said they tried to deliver it 2 times and had one more time to try and it would be coming back. When i talked to FedEx support they read me the info and it stated that guy didn't know english. All his comments on paypal were one word like REFUND. Funny how he knew that word, fed ex tagged his door and finally just sent it back. he gets all his money back and i get the monitor beat to hell from transit to and from. luckily i knew it would take a few hits and wrapped it up real good. no damage to it ( was hoping maybe it worked after being slapped around alittle by them no luck there ) and after a 30 min conversation with paypal i was reimbursed half the shipping i was out of since he got the full refund. As for missing packages i've had a few seems like if it's worth less then 100.00 most of them will leave it on the doorstep if you live in a decent neighborhood. So remember everything is worth 100.00 regardless if it's a knob or ? my only question to any paypal sellers i've always wondered is have you ever won a dispute with a buyer? i lost all 8 i went through even one were a lady switched a digital camera for her broke one and she went so far as to even switch labels. i had pics of it from when i was trying to sell it and even sent them to paypal. Still lost that one and i still want to take a road trip and go upside that lady's head.

I was in the military for 20 + years and worked many different jobs at the same time due to being undermanned and alot of them required working 16 hour days for 6 months at a time, so i think i could handle a little job like sorting mail, putting up with rude people and if needed deliver mail also.

I'm sure it's a hard job for some though.

There is no excuse for mail to be delivered to the wrong address when the letters and packages have the correct address clearly written on them.
