Precision Turbos New Turbo Listing for Buicks !!!!!!!

I saw some really cool new turbos at PRI and will post more details tonight. The new 6466 turbo is rated at 900 and looks to bridge the gap between the 6262 and 6765.

From personal experience, I ran a 6765 journal, then switched to the new 6466CEA ball-bearing and basically at my boost level (20-21 psi) they both performed about the same at the track however the 6466 spools much faster on the street and works together with the engine. The 6466 is just an awesome turbo for those folks with stroker engines running mild stall converters (2600-2800).

And I agree, lets see some updated info :)

so nothing for 84-85 cars? still stuck with a t33 upgrade only?

If youve already gutted your intake and are looking for higher mass flow potential I can get a decent forged milled compressor in the stock housing. Without gutting the intake there isnt more power potential with more than what's out there already.

Have a street driven car with regular bolt on's. TT chip, Reds Fuel pump, K&N, Pypes Catback just rebuilding the stock motor and changing the turbo. What is the major differences between old school TA-49 the new Precision 5857 and new for 2012 from precision is the TA-55. I plan on keeping stock converter and street driven car. Have a stock down pipe now was thinking of upgrading to a 3" down pipe but not sure which one. Can high 12's on radials be achieved?

You didn't post fuel injectors, you should pick up a set of 60lbs units if you are still running the stock ones.
The 5857 isn't available anymore and it is superseded by the 5858.
The TA58 is a stock compressor housing version of the 5858 rated at 610.
The TA55 is has the same turbine but a smaller 55mm compressor rated at 560HP.
Either of this would give your car low 12 to high 11 second potential with the correct supporting modifications.
You should also consider the 5831 and 5931 MFS Budget Units.

What is the difference between the TA55 and the 5831? Is the build quality the same? I dont mind spending a little extra for something better built. I notice that the MFS dont have the CEA technolgy does that make a big difference?

I have the 5831 on my car and did a writeup on it in this forum..

Here's a hot air set up that a good friend of mine here does. This is a PT 54 that he converts for hot air and he also heavily moddifies the throttle body. He has built all new 3in. pipes and car has 87 ecm, maf ect. Thing runs good. Marty has done 3 or 4 of these for hot air guys BUT it ain't CHEAP !!

Your gonna have a hand full!
I'm at 21psi boost and still tuning with 93/alky. DR's are getting murdered set at 20psi for best traction.
