Has anyone done their own sensor install to log pressure or have an electronic pressure gauge? I'm looking for a sensor and read an old post of Razor's mentioning he uses honeywell stainless diaphragm sensors. I'm wondering what the max pressure is on the alky kit so I can properly spec out a sensor.

I make a kit which includes a stainless steel transducer with a ceramic element. Its 140 for the sensor, adapter fitting, and harness. Can tie into the power logger or XFI. 150 PSI
I also sell a gauge kit that includes a gauge, transducer, adapter fitting, and wiring. That would be 240

Hows that?

Thanks! I'm an electrical engineer and can get some free samples from my honeywell distributor. You use the MLH series sensor? I may be able to get you better pricing for sourcing your sensors too...

My Honeywell rep gave me 2 free MLH 150psi sensors so I'm going to tie mine into powerlogger. My pump is about 4-5 years old so I wanted to make sure it's still up to spec, what PSI should I be seeing at max setting with single nozzle?

If you ran a test by putting 30 psi on the MAP sensor should go over 150 psi with battery over 12v
The thing is to be doing this on a new pump. So if your see 110 psi at 21 psi boost.. thats what you want to keep on seeing. As the pump ages and the seals harden up pressure will fall of a tad. So having the sensor and watching pressure you simply increase drive applied and keep the pump at the same output. Not guess what it can do at 30 psi. Pump as old as yours, will not perform like a new one. That I can assure you.

Oh, so your system doesn't apply the full battery voltage to the pump until you max out the 3bar MAP sensor?

Can you PM me the details to send my pump in for a fresh rebuild, or do you sell a DIY rebuild kit? I'll do it this summer when I get some down time with the car.

Not really. It depends on how aggressive you have your dials set on the PAC controller how fast it builds pressure, depends on battery voltage on vehicle, density of liquid used, etc.

Every 2 seasons my pump gets new seals. Need them or not. I have way too much on the line and need my system to be at 100% potential.

No need for PM on this. Simple really. Send pump in with your contact info. Address is on website www.alkycontrol.com
