not too sure, but maybe the FT comes with adj. wastegate and the other doesnt. just a guess though.

it seems to be the same prices on that page for the 50-61's general size range and "E" style turbos. maybe there more popular, so they r mass produced compared to other styles?

Oh boy.

They are the same turbos.

PT61 T350 is the 6152 turbo. Also known as GT6152 by Full Throttle.

When it comes to pricing, they are all over the place. Anywhere from $799 - $625. But as long as they both have the 61mm GT compressor wheel and the T350 "Stage 5" turbine wheel with the E compressor cover, there is no difference if it's produced by PTE.

Typically, no turbo comes with an actuator, unless it is a special that the particular vendor is running. It has always been considered a seperate item and actuators are compressor cover specific because of the bolt spacing on the cover. A long time ago, PTE used to sell their turbos with the letter designation code C, this stood for complete with inlet bell, actuator and an elbow. But that went away back in '97.

The P-trim version of this turbo would be a PT6176, or in Full Throttle terms a GT6176.

Hope this helps.

Patrick

Hey Patrick, what size is the compressor and exhaust wheel on a TE62? How does it compare to the 6152 as far as spool up and horsepower assuming they use the same convertor? THANX!

It is my understanding that a 62 is a 61 with a P-trim exhaust wheel.
