SignUp Now!I am running that converter with my 6262, you will like it! Probably should invest in a good external cooler for it.
I like it! Don't really miss the lockup at all. I am running just an external cooler with fan on it. Temps seem to be fine, running a temp gauge with it. I am using a manual switch for the fan so I have more control over the fan. Was running the automatic sensor with the fan but felt it was letting the temp get too high before coming on. Eventually will wire it up so I can use either way, just haven't got around to it yet. I am running 3.50 gears with 275/60 15's.
i lost just 50 rpm at cruise, car drives great with the ptc.[/QUOT
70 MPH on highway takes about 50 more RPM with the PTC over my previous LU's. Performance and drivability is greatly improved.
Dusty knows his stuff and is one of the best vendors we have.

That's impossible without lock-up:biggrin:
Thanks for the feedback. It's hard to describe how much different these are than the non locks we all ran years ago. If I had my way, a lock-up converter would be a thing of the past.

He spent 1/2 of a tech seminar at BG one year just on the reasons why especially a race car should have a GOOD non-lock up converter, and could not believe why any racer would do a lock up?
We just replaced a LU converter on a street driven GN after a year of hard street driving, as the clutch disk completely trashed the converter

Lock-up's do have their place for those guys looking for just a little more stall in their mostly stock gn. Most of the time they want a direct swap rather than changing out the non lock valve. When it comes to anyone remotely interested in track times the non lock is the way to go.
As Nick pointed out. You can look through the trans section and see post after post of TCC issues, lock-up issues. The non lock does away with all of these problems giving you years of worry free abuse.
