Removed timing cover, should i prime the oil pump?

I removed the front timing cover to replace the gasket and give it a good cleaning. After the fact i cracked open the repair manual and it said " anytime the cover is removed, pack the oil pump with grease to help it prime". I also just installed a turbo saver system. What do you guys recommend before the first start up? thanks, Mike
 
oil and vasoline

i did a oil and vasoline mix and put that in there and also pull your cam sensor and go to your local autozone or some auto store that rent tools and get your self a oil priming tool and prime your system.

X2.. It's about a foot long..slotted at one end and the other fits into a drill.
