Stage II picture thread- Let's see 'em!

It was a virgin 3.8 i got from Kenny D. The aluminum heads and 4 barrel intake were from my old friend Terry Ryan in Portland. I had the intake modified in Reno, NV. The turbo was a 76. Trans was a stock rebuild. Tried useing a chip to run it but at the time no one could get it right. 83 lb inj, Art Carr 9 1/2", Conley's air to water intercooler. This was in '99-2000.

Dennis, I remember watching that thread. What a car! Great platform for a Stage II, although would be tough to choose sides at Buick vs Ford shootout down in Noble, OK. ;)

Nice work. You still have it?

I sold the motor and trans in Nov of 06 to someone in chicago, the body went to south in jan of 07 last i heard it had a big block chevy in it.

Hell yeah! Looks beastly! What else are you lacking to get it in the car and running?

Hey James,

mainly time, only things i'm missing, are fuel pumps, fuel lines, brake pads, and cam ;)

but i'm thinking i might notch the frame, reinforce and power coat, before i start to assemble everything.

we'll see

My new stage motor.

I don't have them anylonger, but thought they were interesting non-the-less. These are a couple projects that I used to have but never got off the ground. Had to sell it all off when unemployment struck a number of years ago.

Yes, these are aluminum blocks.....No they are not TA blocks.

I'm pretty sure all the stage 2 parts I had back when I posted my last pics in this thread are now gone. I like to wheel and deal and I've changed almost everything since then.

Crower Rods are at the machine shop, Ross pistons are on order and hopefully in about two more months I'll have pictures of my crankshaft jewelry from Byrant.

Ok, Mike I went from TA heads to stage 2 heads and you went from stage 2 heads to TA heads............who is going in the right direction and who is going in the wrong direction? Am I wasting my efforts?

I guess it depends on what your goals are. I didn't switch because I though they would make more power, although the more than likely will. I switched becuase I wanted something durable with thick decks and something new. Flow numbers are a small part of the equation for turbo motor heads. I could have bought new stage 2 castings and ported them, but that was going to leave me with very few options on what class I could run my car in. I also think these heads will have better resale value than an equivalent (cost) set of stage heads.

Here is my stage ll. Kenny D twin 70mm turbonetics.

Does this help? Honest I don't know much about the cooling system. I just got the car. See more pics under family rides

Yes, that helps, thanks. Someone cut the chevy ends off the pump and welded some custom ends on. Good idea, I'll have to see if I can do the same with mine.
