Got a price from Blaastperformance.com They would do it for 550+shipping. Althought it wont be a Stage 3 wheel, it will be a Stage 2 but blades sizes are close, .01 smaller i think. I figure i post for whoever wants the upgrade at a really good price. You can ask them yourself, Let them know fellow HA memeber told you.

I plan to get that along side the scanmaster one and for all.

Take care

i might have mixed up but i believe it's a stage 2 wheel, they told me it will have better faster spool then the TA33 but flows the same. Only thing, I know the carbo seal is a must, could i get the 360bearing?? and step gap upgrade??

with a carbon seal and the higher than normal boost pressure I would highly reccomend a 360 thrust.

550 for a stage 2 turbine, 60 trim wheel and 270 thrust bearing is a stretch to me....

i wouldnt pay a dime over 400 just for that.... but then again, thats just me.

now if it has a rebalance, 360 thrust with button head screws (no just sliding on the pins like cheap asses) Heavy duty carbon seal and well we will be OK with the stage 2 wheel, (stage 3 would be more like it for a HA car) then I would pay 500.

figure a brand new turbo from cottens runs what 549-600...... it cant cost that much to machine a cover, cause thats all there really doing.

:biggrin:A.j.

I was told stage 2 from my goals. It was base off my goals. I'm sure i can get the same specs as the TA33 tho.

550 is for the rebuild + upgrade is:

rebuild 150$
turbine upgrade to stage 2, 240$
compressor upgrade to t04B. 160$
total 550$ That's what i was email. It wil come with the 360 bearing, I was just wondering to get the Step gap upgrade also.
I have gotten my turbo rebuilt from them. They do great work.

So it's a good thing to get the 360, 550 is for the rebuild + upgrade is:

turbine upgrade to stage 2, 240$
compressor upgrade to t04B. 160$
total 550$ That's what i was email.

Again , I can get whatever i want well Whatever HA turbo lets me haha. I just thought this was a good deal, and i have gotten my turbo rebuilt from them. They do great work.

thats the catch that makes it worth while... you have used them before.

good deal.

its hard to trust alot of "turbo rebuilders" as I have gotten screwed before.... I just like the same line all of them use in there advertizement "There is no such thing as a rebuild kit" blah blah blah... but if you have used them before then definitly a good sign and the reputation to get the job done the way you like!

very cool indeed. I think you will have a great unit!

Cheers!

Meant it also with a 360 bearing. Yeah i hear you on that, can
t trust to many out there. Should i get the STEP gap upgrade?(on their side)

This was a post for anyone wanting to look into the TA33 or upgrades at a good price from them. Just an idea, Take car fellow Hotairs

If I can find a hotair turbo cheap enough, I might have it done by them! I want to keep all my original parts so I can put her back to original when wanted. In case you were wondering...

I might have both Compressor and ehuast housings(no center) But they can give you all that stuff. I'm will to sel them if i can find them.

I have one that needs a rebuild. How much are you looking to pay? I will sell for $75 plus shipping- my original cost. I can send PICs as well. Brad

I hope this helps anyone wanting TA33 upgrade but at a better price, 550$ vs 900$
I already got myself a MAF translator on the way with 3.5 MAF. Then fix my
Oil leaks, get a Scanmaster the begining of next month.

So this company will do just a stock rebuild then for $150?? I have one on the shelf I want to send out. Has anyone delt with them before?

Yes, I have. I checked my turbo out before hand, (it was trashed) I didn't even know they had my turbines, center etc. They are good, but make sure you tell them what you want, what you have, etc. I would get the 360 bearing upgrade. Tell them you want HD carbon seal. Other members will chime in about the right Hotair seals on the turbo. They are located in canada BTW. Shipping from South Texas to there wasn't to much, 40-50ish.
