Thinking aloud on future upgrade...

Are any of the current aftermarket setups doing any MAP oriented boost control or will I be forced to wait until it becomes available at a later time? I can see how an ECM *could* possibly signal boost changes electronically, but how would it interface with the mechanical actuator?

Do you mean through an electronic boost controller or through the actual ECM?

both are available.....through the ECM i think only AEM is capable right now but i hear it could be an option on the new FAST system coming out this summer

I meant ECM controlled (no extra "add-on" controllers) with full programmability. How (or what) would the signal from the ECM actually "control"? Would it be a venting solenoid like the stockers, or some other means?

To be quite honest...i wouldn't know how it'd work. But i do know that AEM's computer can control boost electrically through the ECM. How they do it i do not know. They have a website i think its www.aempower.com , might be something to look into.
