Thats is a good point that you bring up, it does appear that donnies drivetrain losses are higher than what everyone else is seeing. Everyone is automatically looking at the converter it may not be...... it shouldnt be the rear I belive he has a 12 bolt (much more efficient) than a 9 inch rear. The transnission could be one of the key factors that we may have overlooked and that could explain why his losses is higher.

8.76 with a leaning fuel mixture, low cylinders, a loose TC, AND a bad transmission. Hmmm. Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that. Now I understand why people ask you for converter advice so often. I have to admit, you are one smart cookie.
To top it all off, I'm not even using the right rear axle ratio. Brilliance. I see that now. How could I have been so blind.

I know what you mean 8.76 from YOUR combo that YOU picked out and YOU assembled it makes me wonder when you post how fast you go, is it luck ? Because with so many things wrong with YOUR combo and YOUR car it makes perfect sense why so many people go faster than you and make more power than you with LESS !!!!!
Who is going to teach us you ? I guess thats more of the wrong parts that are in YOUR combo failing gaskets, wrong converter, wrong axle ratio, BAD transmission, small heads, small cubes, an ever increasing drivetrain loss number. But you want us to belive the tune was spot on. sure it was......................... just like everything else that is right on your car. I do feel bad about some of the things i typed but some of it you had coming. If I'm presenting any good tech, absorb it and use it, if it's helpful. If it's nothing you can use, ignore it and move on. If you want to add your own views on something, go ahead. I don't mind that at all. But purposely attempting to beat someone down just because they don't think like you, or build their combination different than yours, is...
