I can leave hard, too hard! Spoolup is not a problem. I even changed to a .85 a/r turbine housing. My motor stays above 5000rpm the whole run, and I need 4th gear at 110!!? I am using 28"tall slicks, and have the stock rear gears, 3.42. Does this mean I have a 5000 stall? I ordered a 3000-3100 from Art Carr. My GN only picks up 20mph in the 2nd eighth. What do i have? What should i ask for? (It is a non-lock-up)

definately the wrong convertor.3100 is a good starting point, however the convertor is obviously not a 3100.i have had this with the 9/11s we sell and have found that if a customer needs say 35/3600 our 32 or 34oo will yield the proper stall.also if the vehicle needs to leavee at 3800 our 34oo will yield 3800.its not a matter of improper selection only that the convertor stalls higher than rated under boost.yours is a runaway case of this condition.

Not trying to hijack a thread here!

My truck has a 3400 vig and the shift light (5700) stays on d@mned near all the time! Looking at one of my G-Tech runs, the 1 - 2 shift RPM's drop from 5800 to 4900 and the 2 - 3 shift drops from 5800 to 4800. Apparently the motor is revving back over 5700 so quickly that the shift light is already back on. I am gaining from 92 MPH to 115 MPH in the second half though. Am I over-stalled?

TIA!
