Well after a lot of hard work on steve yaklins part the car idles drives and runs pretty darn good at the track wth no maf. It appears i picked up at least a solid tenth and a mph. This was on different days but the air density was at 91 both weekends. The car went 10.77 @ 122.0 with the maf in place. And went 10.62 @ 123.5 with it removed. Both runs were at 23.5 psi and had a 1.45 60' Thanks steve!

Looks like you call Steve Yaklin and get the scoop. Maybe he will post. Walt is a good tuner and has been testing this new Max Effort with a MAF.

Steve Yaklin is developing a MaxEffort race chip that does not use a maf. The prototypes are working well.
The MaxEffort already is the best chip out there for going fast because it is a basic dfi system that is programmable by the user. This new mafless race version is just another step in the same direction.

How much nitrous were you running on that pass? 100 or 150? How did you manage to hide the system so well? I was all over that car looking for it?
Did you have a lot of grinding to do inside the block to get that 3.625 crank to fit?

Walt saw one of those VTECS and decided to go with VCNC instead.
Crankshaft has a long stroke for launch torque and then goes shorter for rpm on the top end.
When he fills the crank up with nitrous, it expands the stroke and as it is consumed, it shortens up. Of course the combustion chambers have to deepened...that gives more compression on launch and less as the stroke shortens which allows him to run 50 psi on the top end....all in the technology.

It has been a comedy of errors for a while but for race cars it may work out ok. There are 3 gain controls that should cover it.
I would not think there would be a gain on hi ten cars or slower so save your money guys. You can gut the stock maf with the MaxE or run Bob's translator with the 3.5 and flow 1000cfm......according to the paperwork.

Yes Roger, that was through the exhaust and on the 10.5 inch tires! Maybe the new 35 psi boost gauge is off or something but it was right between 23 and 24 psi on the gauge!
Eric, I have ANS lower control arms, Wolfe racecraft uppers and sway bar, stock replacement springs and shocks and the kick-@$& converter from Dan's converters also helps!!!

This gadget works!
I'm running one of these right now too, and though I haven't run it at the track yet I CAN speak for the driveability.... which is excellent! The car drives just like it did with the MAF, actually throttle response feels like it's a little better. Very crisp, other than a little quicker throttle response, I couldn't tell if it were on the MAF or off.
I can't wait to get this to the track, it feels good when you stand on the skinny pedal. That's all I know.
