I have 3 guys at work, that want a piece of my Buick, one has a 5.0 mustang with mods,97 trans am ,6.0 GTO with mods.None of them are worried about losing to the Buick. So i was trying to do some tuinning before the track opens up next month. Here is were i'am at..
I have turbo tweak chip 23/21 timming alky 24# boost TE61 with 9/11

Parameter 1 set at 142
" " 2 at 128
' ' 3 at 131
' ' 4 at 134

Default was set at 128 alky knob at 6.5

At WOT in 3rd scanmaster is reading .808 with no knock..

Where do i go from here???:confused:
 
what are mods to the 3 other rides. im very familar with those 3 vehicles.
 
They are not saying much I heard the 5.0 has aftermarket heads and that he is still working on it. 6.0 has chip and cold air intake thats what i have heard. Trans am says it is stock, they all say that the Buick will lose... So i was trying to tune it the best i could before i went.
 
What is your converter stalling at?? I assume these races will be at the track, so do you have slicks or drag radials??? 1.9 60ft not bad could be a little better.... No knock so maybe you could turn up the wick alittle and watch for KR... Don't want those o2's any lower either. Brother had a stock GTO with the exception of a Corsa exhaust. Watch out if it is s. charged!!!

No such thing as chips on the LS motors. with your description i cant help ya on times. good luck
 
As long as you hook well; You shouldn't have a problem smoking any of them. I'm running 32lb injectors, and beating cars of that description every weekend(without alky), at 18PSI. Fix the tranny!
 
And if it's an original '97 then it's an LT1.*yawn*

Frankly, I'd stay where you're at and play rope-a-dope at work with these guys.

Bring a video camera so we can all see thier excuses.

The GTO is the wild card, if at all. If he can't get it hooked then it's yours.
 
Drag radials, a 1.6 and your gone. I'ld keep my mouth shut and let them run their's. After they well be like :eek:
Just noticed you got tranny issues, get that fixed before you hit the track!!
 
The time you posted should be more than enough for them, now that new turbo should push you well into the 11s. You have no worrys, except for the trans!
 
808 mv O2 and no knock? How about 2 more psi boost and get some tires (slicks if you can, DR's at least). Trans being fixed is a must.
 
Converter is stalling to 3000 but i never can get the car to hold boost even with s10s and new brakes, the trans is still not right,but waiting on a rebuild quote. should i turn the timing up more? is .808 were i want to be? i have DR on it now.
 
Trans issue... don't turn the wick up till thats resolved. You should work on your launch techique too. 1.9x 60fts...:redface:
